This GPS receiver is designed to give GPS (sat-nav) capability to those devices which do not come with inbuilt GPS capability.
Currently the world's smallest and most compact device, it is small enough to fit on your car keyring and sensitive enough not to need to be removed whilst driving - ie it doesn't need to sit on the dashboard to make its satellite connections. The receiver also functions in "walk-mode" so useful for finding your way around town, even when not in the car.
The receiver does not come supplied with sat-nav software but if this is not already pre-loaded on your device, the BlackBerry Maps application is available as a FOC download from www.blackberry.com Alternatively Google Maps (FOC mobile version) can be used or a subscription to Telmap taken out.
The receiver has a solid working time of 10 hours.
Compatible with all Bluetooth-enabled BlackBerry devices which don't already have GPS capability ie 7100, 7130, 7290, 8100 & 8120 Pearl, 8300 & 8320 Curve, 8700, 8707 series.
