This cradle is a replacement for the one supplied with the BlackBerry Power Station. It can easily be inserted into the Power Station to replace the existing cradle which snaps out - enabling a Power Station to be shared amongst several users deploying different BlackBerry devices.
It also meets the needs of those who already own a Power Station but have upgraded their device - all the user needs to do is switch the cradle, obviating the need to purchase a new Power Station. (NB In some cases with the later models, eg the Storm and Kickstart, you would also need to replace the external battery charger at the back of the unit).
